Can someone please help me on how I can download VS code on Mac OS X 10.10.5? I am unable to download it. Once I download the VS studio zip file, it says I cannot open it need the newer version of OS. Please help me.
The final version of OS X Yosemite was OS X 10.10.5, an under-the-hood update that introduced bug fixes, security enhancements, and performance improvements. Most notably, 10.10.5 fixed the DYLD_PRINT_TO_FILE privilege escalation vulnerability that could allow malware to gain root access to a Mac.
Visual Studio For Mac 10.10.5
OS X 10.10.4 came before OS X 10.10.5, seeded to the public on June 30. OS X 10.10.4 was also an under-the-hood update that brought bug fixes and performance improvements, including the removal of the problematic "Discoveryd" process, which caused multiple networking issues for sme users in OS X Yosemite. OS X 10.10.4 also introduced TRIM support for third-party solid state drives.
OS X 10.10.5 will likely be the last major update for Yosemite. The operating system's successor, El Capitan, is due to launch sometime this fall as a free download, and is already available in a public beta of its own.

I wish Apple would give more info on what's fixed. Some people find the later OS X releases to be full of bugs, though I've not come across many personally. Although on this 2015 Retina MBP the kernel tends to use a lot (10-20%) of CPU when there's the slightest of activity. Also the Windowserver hangs quite often when using Numbers it seems. 15 seconds later everything happens allatonce :\

Think of this as Snow Leopard to Leopard not a Leopard update.I've found the current version of the developer 10.10.5 to be excellent and very stable on a new Mac Pro and a 2012 MBP but a few issues on a 2011 MBP. That's just one person's experience obviously.
Apple says only that 10.10.5 fixes stability, compatibility, and security issues with OS X Yosemite.
This is 10.10.5 not the public beta of 10.11, so obviously it's not a major update. It is of course, for bug fixes... :???:
I am really at a loss here. There are absolutely no errors with this project on windows. I can delete the build files, clean, generate project files and build all configs in visual studio without issue. I am also more versed in xcode developing for iOS and OSX than I am for windows(I normally use MinGW for Win), but I cannot for the life of me understand the errors coming from the unreal build tool. They do not point to anything in my actual source. I am able to build from a blank template project generated on the Mac.
14 May 2020. 3.1b7. Returns italicizing steps in the sample window that are being hidden; also now shades them dark gray. Fixes using the local (locality-specific) preferences file, if present. LSQ List Window now will hide/reverse current selection from the contextual menu (same behavior as Sample List window). Compiled with latest version of Xojo; system requirements now Mac OS 10.10.5 and later, Windows 7.1SP1 and later, Linux: Linux Mint 16, CentOS 7.0, Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, Debian 6.0, OpenSUSE 11.3, Fedora 13 Desktop or later (for all). Only supplying 64 bit version for Mac OS as 10.15 and later require it.
I have a MacBook Pro 15" late-2013 with a 512 GB SSD, 16 GB RAM and a Core i7 2.6 GHz CPU, running VMware Fusion 8. The host OS is OS X 10.10.5 (Yosemite) and the guest OS is Windows 10. My main use case for the VM is software development, and I have Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 installed on it, on which I use a plugin called VisualGDB (www.visualgdb.com), and there is a severe performance issue with my setup, which is severely dragging down my productivity. Here I should mention this is definitely not an issue with VisualGDB itself, and would most likely happen just the same with ordinary Visual Studio projects, it's just that I don't code in C# or VB to test a project in one of those languages.
The interface incorporates a flatter visual appearance with blurred translucency effects. Other notable design changes include new icons, light, and dark color schemes, and the replacement of Lucida Grande with Helvetica Neue as the default system font. The dock is now a 2D translucent rectangle instead of a skeuomorphic glass shelf, reminiscent of the dock design used in early versions of OS X Tiger. 2ff7e9595c
